2008 Goals

• Develop City Council Forum for candidates for District 1 position
• Develop Plan for incentives to attract new businesses to Downtown
• Evaluate Salvation Army fund raising plan

Committee Mission:
The BUSINESS, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND GOVERNMENT RELATIONS COMMITTEE shall plan and implement projects to strengthen the business conditions of Historic Downtown while expanding and diversifying its economic base, including but not limited to the recruitment of compatible new businesses and economic uses of unused or under-used space, the support of existing businesses and the development of financial incentives, educational workshops and data and materials of use to the membership.
